SOURCE OF INGREDIENTS

Where are the ingredients from? This is truly an International mix. And I am working to source Canadian products or, at best, no USA products, if possible. The USA produces 80% of the world's almonds but I'm looking into Mediterranean countries where almonds also grow.  And the USA produces 80-90% of the world's  pecans, but pecans are also grown in Mexico, Australia and China.  I'll be looking into using the Mexican ones. Stay tuned for updates!

The ingredients are sourced from mainly Canadian companies –Organic Matters (BC), Yupik (Qc) and Healthy Planet (On). Pecans, organic dates and almond butter are from Costco Canada.

Each of these companies get the ingredients from various countries:

·      Canada (organic flax seed, sunflower seed butter),

·      Tunisia and Algeria (organic dates)

·      Sri Lanka (organic coconut flakes),

·      Argentina (organic chia seeds),

·      Bolivia (organic quinoa flakes),

·      Madagascar (vanilla –manufactured in USA),

·      China (pumpkin seeds & sunflower seeds)

·      USA (pecans, almonds & almond butter)
